No not combo's, but anyone know any 600-800watt cabs that are sort of cheap, not in quality of course. I kinda want an amp and cab thats around that wattage and at 4 ohms for like 800-1200 dollars if possible, thanks,

Check out www.musicgoround.com for used amps and cabinets at decent prices. Sometimes decent prices can be found on ebay.

    genz benz 410T XB2 700W $550 ish

    genz benz 610T-XB2 900W $800 ish

    avatar B410 1400W $400 ish

    avatar B212 ???W $350 ish

the avatars are less expensive and handle more power, but the genz benz is more efficient and has a better low end response. I use a GB 610 cab, exceptional quality. Avatar has an excellent reputation for high quality and bang for the buck, though ive personally never used one.

carvin also makes an 800 watt RL410T for about $400, but due ot my past experience with carvins speakers in their bass amps i cannot reccomend it. I use a GB cab with a carvin R600, highly reccomended. the R600 can be had used for 350 bucks. the 1000 watt version is slightly <$100 more.

my used Peavey TX410 was like $350, its 700 watts, so it was really a good deal, except they are 8 ohms.....uh.....but other peaveys are 4 ohms, and could be found pretty cheap if you look enough. Peaveys are tough, and mine is sweet.

I have heard many good things about Avatar though, but havent played through one yet.

[edit] oh yeah, I also use a Carvin R600, used for $350 also. those are definitely the best quality for the money, and have great tone shaping capabilities.

the peavey 410 cabs are 350 watts RMS and 700 program. program is like peak power. RMS is the continuous power the speakers can dissipate. amps are rated in RMS, and so you should pay attention to the RMS value.

program is usually 1.5 or 2 times the RMS wattage.

all that said, peavey still makes some really tough stuff, and it sounds pretty good too. a peavey 410 tvx would match up well with a 600 watt head as long as you dont crank it.

    hope this helps!

  6. The GK 410RBH 800 watt cab is going for $799 on MF. It comes in 4 ohm or 8 ohm. And the GK 1001RB which is 540 watts at 4 ohms is at $749.

well, I forget who, but they run a R1000 bridged into the same cab as me, and they arent afraid to crank it. thats 700 watts continuous into it, so I'm fairly confident that 500 watts wouldnt hurt it any.
