Anyone lacquer their tweed case?

    I had an old Fender Bassman RI tweed amp that I lacquered quite a few years ago that came out great, and considering doing it to the Fender tweed case that came with my Classic 50's P.

    The reason would be to make the tweed a bit more durable, as it is very soft and seems thin, and as you may or may not know, it gets ratty and worn pretty easily (which is why they used to lacquer the raw tweed).

    Anyone do this and how did the case turn out?
