Anyone out there played a Schecter J-4?

    I found a website in a TB thread that has Schecter J-4s at a close out price of $275.

    Looks good and the price is reasonable, but I don't know much about Schecters and I'm looking for some feedback from somebody that's actually played one.

    Anybody with comments, good or bad?

    I bought a Schecter SB1 about 3 years ago and it has been a solid instrument. I thought it was a bargain at $450.00. For that price you might want to go for it.

    I checked out the SB-1 on the schecter site- nice looking bass!

    What is that you like about it?

    It is a bit different than the J-4(it's essentially a jazz copy) but I figure the general things that make a bass nice are going to carry over across the line.

    What I like about the schecter I have is the low action, it stays in tune even when beat the hell out of it the tone is good, its very balanced and it looks good. The jazz model your looking at will probably have many of the same characteristics. Sorry it took so long to reply, I made the first post right before I took vacation.
