I have been looking at these short-scales for a while now and I was just wondering how they are. Anyone? :bassist:

There are a number of us floating around, including Ben (aka CTBass&Birdsong) who owns 10 or 12 of them, including the first two Sadhanas, the second Cortofusion, second Mesquito, second Hy5 5-string, both 2nd anniversary basses, the 3rd anniversary bass, and several other unique instruments.

I have two and I love them - they've spoiled me for all other basses. They get top marks for customer service, comfort (both for wearing and for fretting hand), fit-and-finish, and tone.

Their computer died last week, so they can't check e-mails, but if you're curious, contact them and talk to them.

Just got my first Corto (8C-117) 2.5 weeks ago. Check out my response in the Birdsong Club thread... All I can say is that this is the best bass I will ever own. Beautiful, comfortable, and even non-bassists come up to me to tell me how beautiful it looks and how great it sounds. Now if my playing would get better...

  5. I believe CTbirdsong might even have some for sale in the classified. Worth checking out.
