Anyone tried a Windworks FET Booster effect?

I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
A couple of my active basses have a relatively weaker signal, which causes inconsistency in using them with my effects, especially when switching basses during a gig. Rather than tweaking each effect to compensate, I've been looking for a booster of some sort. Previously, I was looking at the Seymour-Duncan Pickup booster, but it didn't necessarily sound like what I was looking for (tone suckage/alteration?).

Found this Windworks booster online, but I'd never heard of it before. Has anyone here tried it? My main concern with it is that it'll boost my mids too much.
