Anyone tried the Nathan East preamp by Yamaha?

I'm intrigued by it...I don't really have any "bass heroes", but he really comes close. Almost makes me want a five string.

But, has anyone tried this effect...my combination (Ampeg B100r, Status energy 4-string) sounds rather dull at the moment, and maybe I can cheer things up a little with this machine.

Has anyone tried it out yet? (It's not that expensive either)

I've got one. I bought it on a whim. Basically, it's just a simplified parametric EQ.

I've found that it comes in handy for warming up certain bass tones. If you are using an amp that doesn't have a decent EQ section, then this might do the trick.

I doubt he even uses it any more. You'd be better off just buying a Yamaha BBEast bass if you want to sound like Nathan. I played one at GC, and it sounded very nice.
