Anyone use a mic preamp with their rig live?

    Just wondering....and yes I did a search.
  2. I've started using an older Art Tube MP as a direct box and line driver to feed my efx chain, works really well phat and warm.

I used to use a behringer 1953 tube pre -> some DIY stuff -> QSC -> mic'd. Sounded excellent, very warm sound from the 1953 (but the built-in DI sucks for those of you who DI). I'm replacing it with an Behringer V-Bass Vamp thing once it gets here. Nothing wrong with the tube, just want more knobs to adjust :D

I use the ART Tube Channel as my preamp for gigs. Works quite well actually.
