  1. It's called Essential Bass Technique- the definitive technique manual for bass guitar.

It got a A+ rating from Bass Player magazine, for whatever that's worth.

What I'm after is something to help me clean up my left hand technique, as well as how to more effeciently work up and down the fretboard. I'm picking up some things through trial and error, but I figure input from an outside source will increase my learning curve.

If any one has info about other good books or cd-roms, I'm open to suggestion.

I know, I know- "Get A Teacher!" is the board mantra and the best approach to what I'm trying to accomplish. I couldn't agree more. However time constraints pretty much rule lessons out, so I need to find another avenue for learning.

unless some on the the board wouldn't mind spending quality time with my kids while I'm off at lessons! ;)

    Thanks for any input
