Anyone using Yamaha's DG Stomp for recording?

I've used my JB Deluxe into a POD for laying down bass parts for PC-based recording for a while, generally using the POD Clean setting. I've been pleased with the result so far. I'm presently borrowing a friend's Yamaha DG Stomp and find that I much prefer the Stomp for getting a Fender blackface guitar tone (it's so close it's scarey!) .

I still haven't found a great bass sound in the Stomp, and was wondering if anyone else has. I'm primarily interested in laying down nice walking bass parts for bluesey stuff, and Jazz Bass tones like Roscoe Beck's suff with Robben Ford.

Slap bass not spoken here (sadly)
  2. This looks a bit late as a reply - was looking to see if anyone else had a DG Stomp like mine. Keep thinking of selling it then notice what a bargain it is compared to so many other options. Can be used as a headphone setreo amp, an effects pedal in it's own right or an amp modeller (or controlled with a MIDI board as well).

Anyone else tried / use one?
