Anyone wanna jam? GTA, ON...

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by xolin, Apr 10, 2004.

  1. Man, with exams comin up, I'll be getting a lot of extra time. Prob is...I need to jam...I just have this itch. I will try to play with anybody. I am a novice, I suppose, but its just good to play with anybody and everybody possible.
I am posting this here because bassists tend to be the more down-to-earth, and serious of people (not half-assed lazy musicians like many I have known).
I'm not saying make a band out of bassists, but if you guys know musicians (drummers, etc) and want to just jam it out, that'd be cool. Maybe you play guitar and want to try that out for a change? I really just want to play music cause its what I love to do (despite my biochemistry specialist :p).
So if anyone lives in the GTA or in TO, maybe we can hook up for some jam sessions...maybe even with more than one of you guys. If you cant find musicians elsewhere, then why not here in this great forum?
This I think would be just cool for experience and experimenting if you guys have any ideas or concepts you think might work.

Well...can't hurt to ask, can it? :bag:
  2. Actually, what may be a good idea is just having like a musician forum (internet+events maybe) for any musicians (mainly amateur i guess) in Toronto. It would be a good idea for getting otherwise secluded musicians to meet other musicians, find the right mix and explore...or just trade advice and such (kinda like this forum).
Some buddies and I were gonna do this forum for students who were musicians and put flyers around U of T campus downtown.

If anyone lives around Toronto or GTA think that this is doable, it may be cool. I dont want it for advertising bands, just for people to find jamming oppurtunities outside of professional stuff (although they may decide to make bands afterwards).

    Good Idea/Bad Idea/Flawed Idea?
