TBer's, I'm stuck with what role I want my Alpha Omicron to fill as it does so many things well. I originally wanted it to be my heavy OD as that is what it was mainly marketed as but since getting rid of my vt bass deluxe I've recently discovered some really nice low/med gain tubey sounds.
What do you mainly use your Alpha Omega/Omicron/Ultra distortion side for in a live scenario? Or in other words, What is your favorite tone from AO?
  2. I bought the AO as a distortion. But now I'm using it as a light od preamp at the end of my chain. It sounds cool either way.

AO is a distortion pedal, and I use it as a distortion pedal.

I’m with you, OP. I used it as a low-level gain. Just toasting the notes a little bit. This was when I was still using my Mesa D800, which I ran very clean.
