Check www.capemayjazz.com for more info on the festival if you're interested. I actually won't be working the first part of April this year, so am thinking of putting in to become one of their volunteer staff. If anyone is thinking of coming in for it, feel free to pm me for info; and I'd certainly enjoy meeting more members of TB!! Can give you info as to good hotels, places to eat, etc....

If you're planning on coming, make sure to buy tickets early; it's a lot cheaper to buy them now than to wait to buy them later. You can buy a whole - day ticket if you're only going to be here one day, that will cover ALL the events each day. Some of the stuff, like the 'how to play jazz' classes on Saturday, are free; but most require tickets (which last year were actually colored wrist bands...) Available thru links at the Jazz Festival website.

Thx!

I keep wanting to take my son to this but weekends are tough because he has so many tournaments scheduled in the fall and spring with his soccer club.

I'm going to check what's planned for this season, though. One of these days I'll make it down there with him (he plays trumpet and of the bands he's in at school jazz band is his favorite, would love to get him to a jazz festival!).

Thanks for posting the schedule!

Yeah, we're going to be away for a tournament that weekend.

I'll get there eventually, but I wish I'd get an opportunity to take my son before he goes off to college. Of all the bands he plays in at school, the jazz band is his favorite.
