Does anybody have experience with the Arco Nouveau bows? I am an advanced high school player and I am in need of a new bow or a nice back up for security or situational needs. My Dorfler pernambuco bow is top heavy and too light throughout to project a big sound. The Nouveau description claims that it is as good as higher priced carbon fiber bows (coda, etc.) and the higher priced carbon fiber bows claim that they're better than most pernambuco. I just can't fund anything over $300 right now. I will be playing some Koussevitzky and Bottesini within the next six months and I really need something that will work with me. Anybody with experience with the bows or someone with useful ideas or suggestions would help alot. --Thanks
Hi, I just posted a reply on the Coda bow thread - that I thought the Glasser Braided Carbon Fiber was a better, more wood like choice than the Coda Revelation bow. It's probably more than you want to spend, but I know Lemur music sells their regular carbon fiber model for @$325 and it might be worth checking out. Good luck Louis
