Are hipshot tuners significantly lighter than pre 2008 stock Fender ones

    Trying to cure my P's neck diving habbits, and while I have invested in a really nice strap, it still tugs on my shoulder and is very annoying. I want to change out the stock tuners and try some hipshots to see if that will help solve anything. Its a '99 by the way, and heres a pic:

    Of course all we need now are the weights of the original fender tuners.

    Remember that a small change in weight at the end of a long lever, can be more effective than you imagine.

    I have a hot rod p-bass of the same year, and I dont seem to have that problem. maybe my p body is heavier? mine is rosewood neck though

    hrm... looks like you'll save about half a pound in weight.
