Are Mesa Titan-V12s real, and what do they cost?

These heads appear to be everthing I've ever wanted in a bass amp. Are they available, what is the cost, what is the actual weight?

I've seen threads with NAMM photos and speculation, but are there any V-12 owners out there?

Might need to roll down to hollywood and see if they've got one.

I've seen the website :D Looks amazing on paper ... just what I've been looking for.

I mean are there actual, human, people that have been in contact with the mythical beast? :bassist:

And have they picked it up off the table.

And do they have a hernia now?

  4. Please tell me that I misread...a 1200 freakin watt TUBE amp!?!? I think I just soiled myself a bit.

EDIT - no, not all tube, but still awesome as crap, which is quite awesome.

You did. It's a tube preamp, "simul state" power amp.

    Yup, I'm in love.

I remember a few years back one of the manufacturers want on "the bottom line" and asked what people wanted in a bass amp that no one made. I described this head. A killer mono bass amp with multiple clean/drive/crunch/roar options on a footswitch, just like guitarists have always had, and in a nice integrated package.

And the drive is in **paralell** with the original signal ... drooooool. Thats one of the things I love about my grand prix, you can put something like a RAT of Big Muff PI in the effects loop, and just add a touch of that sound to the original signal. But with the grand prix it isn't very practical for setting that up on a gig. Too much cabling and hassle.

    I'm guessing $1800 street and 45-50lbs ... ?

I'm definately going to need to go try one out.

I agree that on paper, it looks like just my kind of amp, but I am also waiting to hear from someone who has actually seen/touched/felt/used one.

I think this would be about as close as you could get: http://philjonesbass.com/PRODUCTS/AMP/T-500.htm

  12. Am I reading the power ratings correctly??

    840W at 2 ohm, 1200W at 4 ohm?

Why is it rated less at 2ohm?

Hey Pickles...I was just down there at the Hollywood store and they didn't have them there yet. They told me not until after Winter NAMM. It's not ready yet.
