please give me you opions
Can you be a little more specific please?
I'm guessing by smooth you mean flatwound and coiled means roundwound???
sorry about the confuseon
i have bad spelling
Neither one is better than the other.
Roundwounds are good for things like slapping because they are brighter and really cut through. They have become the standard today because they sound good in almost every situation.
Flatwounds are more of a vintage sound. They're more organic sounding more percussive, and have a more classic sound. You really don't want to be going to any funk gigs with flats, but if you are playing anything else you should be ok.
You really just have to decide what you want your sound to be and then choose strings accordingly.
thanks for the help
