Are there any fans/users of Glockenklang products out there?

I tried this a few days ago and received nothing but pictures and comments about firearms. PLEASE keep this on topic. I realize that this is a place to have fun and be silly sometimes, but I'm also looking for REAL information. If there is anyone out there in the forum who currently or had owned and/or has had any experience with Glockenklang equipment, your responses would be greatly appreciated. : )

Well, like I've stated before, Glockenklang are state-of-the-art, at least with cabs and solid state (Class A!) amps.

  3. I've never tried them but have heard nothing but good things? JMX, class A? preamp and power amp or just preamp. My guess would be that the power amps aren't class A.... But I could be wrong....:D

I don't have the booklet at hand, but at least the Bugatti and BassArt preamps AND the BassArt Top, are in Class A, except for the mid-EQ in the preamp. The BassArt Top has a Class A poweramp.
And the Bugatti 300 and 400 poweramp are Class A. I can't verify this, but since they're Glockenklang's top line, I think they are.
    They're pretty large for poweramps with 300/400W @ 4 Ohm - 4 rack units.

I had my first close-up look at their stuff at a guitar show earlier this month. Very impressive, but the guy that was plugged in had such mean chops I was intimidated enough to not plug in myself.

    Yo Heavy,
That was me at Dan's booth in Elgin, buddy! HA. Just kidding, although I did play a couple of his basses. In fact, I just made a trip to the LAG on the southside last week, which is were I tried a Glockenklang head with a 2X10 and was VERY impressed. I also took my bass along for reference and, while I thought that my SWR rig was "studio reference", I was nothing less than astounded at what I heard...thus, the impetus to start this thread to get opinions on their products. I also tried a good sample of the custom basses that Dan had in stock (please, don't imply anything concerning the thread I started in the bass forum...there is no relation between that thread and the basses I tried!). Overall, I was very impressed with what the LAG has to offer, and the service and commitment to customer satisfaction is remarkable. Next time we end up at the same guitar show, I'll challenge you to a "wheedle-off"...Steve Via style!!! : )

Not sure when the next show is, but the LAG is the Luthiers Access Group (www.luthiersaccessgroup.com). Check it out for the best in small production luthiers and amp technology.

Yeow - I'd better be careful. A visit there could cause incurable GAS! He certainly had nice stuff at the show...
