Are there any notable punk bassists that use their fingers to pluck?

I think the archetypal punk bassist is one that uses a pick to play, but I was curious if there are any famous punk bassists that use their fingers.

I believe Mike Watt started using pick, but I believe he's all fingers now.

Watt switched pretty early, on the Minutemen's Double Nickels on the Dime album (recorded in '83). When I saw them live in '84, he said he "still used a pick for the punk rock songs" from the previous records.

Greg Norton from the mighty Husker Du.

And of course Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols. As i recall reading, the others thought his fingerstyle playing was showing off to the highest degree!

Just found an old thread on this very subject:

    Any Fingerstyle Punk Players

... no offence to this one. It's an interesting subject :)

FYI....both Paul Simonon and Sid played with a pick. Never fingerstyle.

Does Robert Trujillo count? He did play with Suicidal Tendencies for a while.

One of my favourite bands, Pulley, just released their first album in 12 years. It's amazing, called No Change in the Weather.

My wife pre-ordered it for me for Christmas, to whom all who did got a signed copy by the band. Love her to death!

Anyways, their bassist Matt Riddle is an animal and plays exclusively with his fingers. His tone on their new record is just bloody dirty! It's so perfect, as is the band's overall tone.

    Check it out!
