Are there going to be any upgrades to the 2009 fender basses?

I noticed some have something called a "high mass" bridge which is probably a change since so many people swap them out.

 

The high-mass bridge is already featured on the 08' models.

 

The MIM line is being revamped and the American Standards are getting more color options.

 

I think just the price.

 

That would be nice (more color options). A few months ago, a Fender Customer Service Rep told me they weren't planning any changes in colors for the new Am. Stds. But I suspect he was just blowing smoke, since they're supposedly discontinuing the Blizzard Pearls. I'd think they'd have to replace that with something; and why not add a few others while you're at it?!

 

I believe Lake Placid Blue is one of the colors they're bringing back. Don't quote me, but I heard awhile ago that they were going to reintroduce a bunch of discontinued classic colors in the Am Standard, and I had heard something about the possibility a FSR of matching headstocks.

updated MIM standards to include maple necks, Lake Placid Blue and Candy Apple Red, with 70's style logo.
