I just bought a new bass and these strings came on it and are a lighter gauge and I actually really like them. I can't tell if they are considered round wound or not. Since I like more of the half round I thought would ask. Thanks IMG_0173.JPG IMG_0174.JPG

    DOH!
I was just about to order some Blue Steel for my guitar, but if they're Nickel I'll pass.

guess it's back to Cobalt Slinkys
wish they mode those in half-rounds

Um....Bass Blue Steels come in both Stainless and Nickel. Electric guitar Blue Steels are only nickel.

no, the nickels have a beer can blue silk wrap. These look like the steels, to me. silver-ish wrap color.

  7. I've read a few posts indicating the blue-black-blue-black ball ends are for nickels, while the steels have all black ball ends.
