I have a friend who says these things horrify him. I think they're actually kind of cute.

    Platypi or platypuses, rule!!!

  3. I literally thought the exact same thing: kind of cute, and they rule. I could see how they'd be odd, but certainly not horrifying. What are they going to do? BILL you to death? It's not even really a beak.

  4. Ah, yes, the animal made of leftovers. Part duck, part beaver, part rat, part chicken. ALL MAMMAL BABY!!:D

    Rock on

I would be freaked out. I hear their venom can leave you in excruciating pain for months.

I'd like for once to see one in person. I've only seen them on TV.

I heard they shoot venomous darts. That's kind scary, but it doesn't outdue the cuteness.

    I bet it taste good.

  12. Platypuses rule. They're smaller than you think (well, they were smaller than I expected). They're really fast and feed on Yabbies (Australian freshwater crayfish). Only the male has a venomous spur on its hind legs. Not deadly, but apparently mighty painful.

    I miss living in Australia.

Creepy because they're always found dead beside(or on) the road?

I heard they breathe fire and can impersonate the sound of the voice of their victim's mothers.

I heard that they urinate acid and defecate small stones.

  19. I think they're cute too- what a crazy mixup of a critter though!

That said, the otters are my crew.
