Yes. Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA. I mostly use the internet for AIM and Talkbass.

I prefer IE6. Firefox doesn't feel right and IE7 just freaks me out.

Another student here! UC Berkeley (Berkeley, California)!

I mainly use the internet for academic research, Talkbass, AIM, eBay, craigslist, and occasionally MySpace or some other random site.

As for browsers, I use Firefox. I love the tab feature (keeps my taskbar at the bottom uncluttered) and it's great for keeping out popups and spyware.

IE6 seemed limited and problematic for me. IE7 is trying too hard to be like Firefox, and it's been glitching up on my system :meh:
  4. I'm a grad student. I've been using FF, but I will be switching to either IE7 or Opera in the near future due to the bugs.

    I use Firefox.

Use it mainly for recreation. Things like message boards, eBay/Craigslist/other stores, video games, etc.

Sometimes I'll need help with a math/physics problem so I'll Google the topic I'm learning.
  6. SUNY Oneonta in Oneonta, NY.

I use the internet for academic purposes, AIM-MSN-mirc, ebay, talkbass, MMORPG's, it is my dictionary, my encyclopedia, my resource for any information needed really. I can find out what is for dinner at my dining hall that night, I can find out phone numbers for places. I really rely on my computer and the internet. I can get much more detailed if you want, feel free to PM me.

For a browser I use firefox as well. It is superior in my ways to me over other browsers like Opera and IE, I enjoy its add-ons, the skins it has, its feature for downloading files, the tabs (although I don't really use them that much), etc.

i use the internet like a normal person who uses the internet. additionally, my courses have web pages that, depending on the class and prof, i frequent either daily or weekly or biweekly or bisemester-ly.

looking up obscure trig identities on mathworld, etc. is also a plus.

i use firefox because i don't like having to retype my passwords.

Long Beach City College ehre and I use Internet Explorer 6. It's always worked very well for me.

Let's see, I use google a lot for school research. Along with google, I check my professor's website for homework updates and have been doing extensive research on Global warming as of late.
I'm also frequently on Youtube and Talkbass as well as several bass instructional sites.
On rare occasions I'll cruise E-bay, Amazon and Barnes&
I also use the net for business.

Pretty standard for anyone who has integrated the net into their lives.

How exactly do you plan on citing Talkbass for your report?

Mostly for porn. Opera is a great browser, mostly because you can easily open multiple tabs and browse them back and forth with two buttons.

Oh, other than that: email, Wikipedia, IRC, Messenger and various bulletin boards like Talkbass.

I attend the University of Florida. I use Firefox mainly for visiting sites for my own amusement, such as Talkbass, Fark and CollegeHumor. Academically, I use it for keeping on top of my course websites and some research here and there.

University of Alberta. IE7 as I'm too lazy to get me firefox, and my computer just updated for me.

Mostly for online course material, then research through library sites. Talkbass, and ebay are up there too. Not much else.
