Recently, I have been interested in a Vanderkley Spartan amp. When I did a Google search about it I found that there were a lot of postings in BassChat since Vanderkley is a European builder. With that said, I created a handle in BassChat to ask questions about it, etc. In doing so, am I now disloyal to Talkbass?:woot:

How many of you also have a username/handle in BassChat?

Also, since I am on this subject who was first? Talkbass or Basschat?

I'll admit to joining BassChat first, thinking that it'd be more relevant, as it's a lot closer to home for me.
I'll also admit to not having visited it in well over a year, and I couldn't even tell you what my username is, though it's probably close to what I use here.
I honestly couldn't say why I abandoned it for TB, there was some excellent threads there, and some decent folks too.

    Maybe I should revisit it...

This is the only internet forum I'm on but I wouldn't call it loyalty.

Ummmm, I didn't see no loyalty oath on either website, so I don't think we're breaking any rules or moral code by visiting all the bass and/or guitar forums we want.

In fact, we can help share the best info we find between different sites. As Martha Stewart would say, "It's a good thing."

I can’t imagine dividing my time between here and another bass forum and still having time to do the things I don’t have time to do anyway.

They spell things funny over there.

What colour bass should I get.
    Is this Fendeur legit?

  10. I've definitely seen some of the TB handles in other forums (Fender, etc)

I have promptly reported them to the authorities.

I'm on BassChat UK as, gasp...Passinwind. And the greenboy forum, as...you guess.

Also a couple of Facebook bassist groups and a variety of music tech forums.

I'm a member of several bass forums. Talkbass gets the most visits and interactions though.

I range far and wide across the internet. I'm on many different forums only a few of which are bass/music oriented.

It appears I'm only courting TB.

Not much to look at, but she has a great personality....

I’m 100% certain that TB doesn’t give a rip about me. Not a BS persecution complex, just a matter of fact. The management and collective cares even less for bassists far more accomplished and successful than I am. So, I go anywhere online I please with no guilt pangs.

    Never heard of it.
    Now I'm bi-site curious.
