Aretha Franklin VH-1 Divas Special

    I was checkin out an audio clip I have of Aretha Franklin & Mariah Carey on the VH-1 Divas special, they were doing a smokin' version of Chain of Fools.

    This line is much different from the original yet maintains the integrity of the original. Its the apitimy of a good groove IMO. Its got more groove than an obese mans ass. The tone this guy has is nothing short of great too.

    I just cant remember who the heck was playing the bass that night. Who ever it is though is an excellent player IMO.

    The Bassist is Francisco Centino (spelling?, He used to be Ashford and Simpson's bassist) H.B. Barnum is the MD for Aretha

    Man, I love that track "Shall we start the party?..chain, chain chain."BOOM!!! this thunderous bass riff kicking in...priceless.

    (Love the way she obliterates Mariah Carey as well;)

    Francisco also did some great work with the late jazz violinist Noel Pointer,and also some real fine work on some early Ronnie Laws stuff.
