Aria IGB-68 5-string fretless vs. Cort Curbow 5-string fretless

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by parrott, Nov 19, 2002.

  1. I'm in the market for a mid-price (ish) 5-string fretless, and I've managed to narrow my search down to these two.

I haven't actually played either of them, though I have[I/] played an Aria IGB-50-5 and a Cort Curbow fretted 4.

What do you think of them?
What should I know about them?
Which one do you think I should get?

EDIT: I play rock/metal and some jazz, almost completely fingerstyle, with quite a few doublestops, and nearly no slapping/popping.

  2. Bump.

(I need help on this one)

I can't compare the two, but I've got an Aria 4-string unlined fretless, though I don't know what model it is (see this thread). It certainly looks very similar to the IGB-50. Anyway, I like it, it sounds nice to me. Though, I don't have all that much to compare it to.
