Early 80’s Aria Pro 2 TSB-550 Thorsound. Matsumoku Medium Scale. 32 inch. Great sounding and playing bass! Light! 7.7lbs Thin C shape neck. 1.75” at the nut. Good shape. More players grade. The input jack was apparently damaged and had a plate installed. It works perfectly and I kind of like the look. The coil tap switch is slightly bent, but also works perfectly. There are dings and scratches and some buckle wear consistent with an bass this old. I currently have tapewounds on it which work perfectly with the tone. I promise, this bass kills. I have the original hard shell case as well. Selling a bunch of basses to fund a new purchase or I would keep it. So no trades, thanks. Ships CONUS.
Kind of. The pick up is powerful so it is more like a humbucker when fully engaged. When you hit the coil tap it sounds more like a vintage split coil. The shorter scale and neck through also give it a different tone. It is pretty distinct and really awesome.
