    6 month music school
GI bill (up to $50,000 for college)
College loan repayment program (up to $65K)
Tuition assistance (not sure of the percentage, but the Army was paying 75% of courses taken when I was in)
    Full medical coverage
    Full dental coverage
    tax free $ to eat
    tax free $ for housing
    snazzy green and patterned wardrobe

    Reserve:
    $9400 for college
15% of your tuition or $1500 per year to pay off loans
Only work 1 weekend per month, two weeks in the summer

Of course, the Air Force has all these benefits, and bragging rights that we're the best service, have better bands, and don't have to wear dorky green polyester pants!

we also have Air National Guard bands, and they're better too! :)

Please read the "Military and former military" thread, to see how many people say they would've joined the Air Force (my Air Force!) instead. :D
