I've been learning "Around The World" and i thought most of it was slapped and popped, but i saw a video for the song, and flea just plays it all normally...i'm confused...is it just for the video he did that does anyone know?

If he doesn't slap and pop (which is unusual for flea!) then the song's an awful lot easier to play than i thought...and i'll be kinda disappointed.

    Any ideas?

Flea plays more with his fingers than you may think.
Actually most of his playing is just normal 2 finger playing.
He plucks very hard with his right hand.
Thats how he gets that sound that is often mistaken for slapping. Even though he does slap obviously, just not as much as people think.

Cool, thanks. yeah he does pop very hard, he'll leave his wrist attached to a string someday!
