Those are nice! Looks like the MT designed Modulus Genesis.

I'm guessing it won't cost too much either. That's always a plus for me!:D

Just talked to Mike, and he's unsure. I'll reach out to Dale @ Dana B. Goods.

I'd love to have one of those 5 stringers...

  9. Apparently, Bass Central is taking order for them.

34" scale is nice, but I would've like to have seen a new bridge design, possibly string through. Fretless would be nice on this too.

MTD is IMHO, best bang for the buck in this price range. I love my fretless.

Check out this page from Bass Central. Both the CRB and Saratoga will have street prices under $500. These are going to be some really sweet budget basses! WIth these, one can buy a passive P&J set of five string basses under $1,000. Nice!:D

    I am digging these...

Sent an email to my local dealer who will let me know when he has them in stock. I will be all over a 5 string version!!

Here's a clip from the 2009 NAMM show where Mike Tobias describes his philosophy on making a budget bass:

    Dale said in 4 weeks.

  14. I would like to get a 5 string CRB and turn it into a P/J.

  15. Looks like a remake of the old MTD Beast basses. Very sweet!

Bass Central is selling them for $489.00. Even MORE sweet. :)

These basses look very nice. Sweet price as well. The CTB looks a little off to me though. Something about that design just doesn't sit right IMO.

  17. Once they get some colors outside of Sunburst the Saratoga will definitely give me some GAS.

  18. It comes in black. :)

this is a serious attack to Cort, non Japan Ibanez, etc...
Thats a killer deal, I am just hoping these MTD play and sits well in the mix. I woudn't doubt that though..

  20. And trans-black at that! I am starting to feel the GAS! :bawl:
