ART stuff. Any good?

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by fenderbassabuse, Feb 7, 2005.

  1. Ok. Now I know how to make myself sound huge, I would like to know it the ART tube MP is any good. I want to warm up my sound, and I like the idea of its ability to double as a DI box too. will it work some magic, or will it blow?

    Many thanks.

There are some that call it "toys with tubes." They will make a difference. I used a Levelar, but I replaced the bland tube with a GT EC833s and it warmed it up considerably. As for a DI, it will work just fine. The only problem is that is neither stomp box or rack mount. I used velcro to keep mine still.
  3. I've used a TubeMP for a while now to get some tube warmth for recording and live. While it does not compare to tube pre amps that cost many times more it does a pretty respectable job. Check out the ART Tube MP V3 it has all the bells and whistles including a studio limiter and EQ presets all for $99, hard to beat.
