    Ironically, I was just using mine (I have 2 of these, and a third 'voiced' model) for a bass preamp last night. These make a fantastic warm-up gain stage. I think it could be used as a DI too, though I never have used mine for that... mostly just used mine for the 48v phantom mic-pre.
