A pretty virtuosic display of bass playing and music directing by Zappa's old Clonemeister. How he keeps everything organized in his head while playing those parts at the same time is very impressive. Arthur's also a great composer. Check out his solo albums for further evidence.
I think Mr. Barrow often gets left out when talking Zappa bassists- Tom Fowler and Patrick O'Hearn seem to get the most love (although Fowler is my personal fave).
Agree...ordered Eyebrow Razor on account of this thread. Checking out Fowler right now on Road Tapes, Venue #2. A bit off topic- This Road Tapes #2 is kicking my ass. A very pleasant surprise (sound quality was an unknown. It's not that bad!). "Dupree's Paradise"!
Terrific experience for those kids. I kept waiting for someone from the Zappa family to issue them a summons.
