I believe a few months ago there was a post about an amp in the doorway, creating a monsterous virtual box and awesome bass sound... I just applied that philosophy to me. My little guitar amp stays under my desk. It is open backed. My desk is pushed up against the wall. My desk is easily 10 cubic feet inside... that is a lot of volume for a 6.5" speaker. Maybe that is why I like playing bass through it so much. Hmm... My new box won't have that advantage because it is closed backed. Oh, well. It's tuned this time and probably won't need it. This is a interesting reminder to me of how much of a roll the environment plays on our acoustics, tone, volume... etc etc... it's mind boggling.
