I want to do the pizeo buzzer mod on my 5 string active jazz. I did a search and got a couple answers but not all the ones i need. Does it matter what voltage? Anything else i need to know about this mod would be greatly appreciated.

  4. I've made a number of piezo pickups using simple buzzers. I bought about 2dozen off of ebay a few years ago, but radio shack buzzers should work fine as well. Depending on your usage, you may or may not need a preamp.

Look at this page to get an idea for wiring..

I've found using a number of piezos works better than using a single. IE: use an individual element per string. Also, the closer the contact to the string the better/fuller the sound.
