I'm using my ABM EVO II 500 with a Schroeder 410, but just for kicks I'm thinking about picking up an additional cabinet.

The Schroe obviously has handles the volume end of things nicely, but I'm interested to see what other people are using with these heads, just so I can mix things up a bit, in light of the fact I'll probably never be buying another amp again.....

I use two Epifani T-112's with my ABM 500RC EVO I.

    I have an ABM500 Evo-II-RC...

    Cabinets: NV215, NV425 and a D410XLT... all are 4 Ohm...

The Ashdown sounds great through either one of the cabs, as you might imagine; however, I tend to use it with the Eden cab for smaller stages, and hook-up the Bergs to my Big Daddy Aggie... DB750... at large or outdoor venues.

Bergie NV610 is a natural choice...

But I like the GS410 as well. They actually sound really great together.

  6. Pino uses Epifani 212's with his.
  7. i use a eden 1x12 cab with my abm 500 evoII

    sounds sweet!
  8. Gee, emjazz and the Dude haven't been here yet. I'll take a guess on what they would post: Berg HT112 and EX112 stacked.:smug:

I use the GS210 & sometimes add the GS112 with my ABM 500RC EVO I...

    The GS210 sounds great!

No offense taken... BTW, just a friendly fair warning... my frontman, he's not only our singer, but he's also one of my dearest friends... AND... he's a cop. He's packing even while he's gigging... :D

...but seriously, (and our singer really is a cop...) I did a lot of research before I forked over the $$... I am very happy with my stuff... my axes: Fender Stu Hamm Urge-II and a Warwick Thumb-5 NT... I got the bottom covered! :hyper:

Indeed, anything Bergantino matches perfectly with the ABM amps.
  15. Hmm, this has my GAS expanding.... I run the preamp of my ABM300 EVO into a QSC RMX2450 poweramp and then into a GK 410SBX (sealed) cabinet which sounds wonderful but I do have my eye on a Bergie HT322.

    I play meaty rock with a 1973 Fender P.

How would the 322 sound when compared to the GK?

My only concern is where the hell I'm gonna find one in England!

    Yah, EX/HT...or NV215...or NV610 - all rock with my ABM500EVO.
  17. Ah cool, that's good to know. Just gotta try and find a place in England that sells 'em now.

    Anyone know of a place?

    Ashdown 500 EVO I with:
*Eden 210xlt (4 ohm) -- practice and small gigs
    *Eden 410xlt (4 ohm) for medium/large gigs

I've heard an EVO II with a Mesa 1x15 that sounded great. I tried the head with a Schroeder 1210 and didn't like it- too much mids. I'd like to pair my Ashdown with an Ampeg 410hlf for a more classic sound.

  20. When you say the Schroeder had too much mid, what kind of mid? Honky? Barky? Grating?

Heh, what I really mean is, low mid, mid mid ;) or high mid?

You see, I've been wondering if a Schro might sound good for me and I do like a good dollop of high mid (around 2-3kHz).

I may be that we just like different tones and there's nothing the matter with that at all but I had an Ampeg 410hlf until recently and I found it a bit dark and draughty for my taste. Could be a Schro might fit the bill.

I run a GK 410 at the moment which I really like but for small gigs, I wouldn't mind a little cab. Say a 1x12 or something...
