I own an Ashdown ABM Evo II and I love it! I love it so much i'm considering getting the Evo III. HOWEVER, I have found that when I gig my amp actually starts to rattle off of my cabinet. I currently play through an Ashdown ABM 410T. This is discouraging me from getting the newer version, though I love the sound of it. Does anyone else (Ashdown or other brands) run into this problem?

Might it be that I keep it in a road case when I play? I'm not sure how this would affect that, but I can't think of any reason other than that.

I couldn't say for sure. Do you use a lot of bass?

Get one of these, cut a piece from it to fit between the amp and cab.
Walmart.com: Ozark Trial Camping Pad, Blue: Camping

That will fix the symptom, but not the cause. The cause is that your cab is inadequately braced, if at all, allowing the panels to vibrate. Not only is it a PITA as far as the amp jumping around, it's also wasting power vibrating the cab instead of producing sound. This is what the inside of a properly braced cab looks like:

I'd say it's a very safe bet yours doesn't look like that. The good news is that you can do so with a few dowels and some glue.

  6. I've got the ABM900 EVO III and use an ABM 810 and haven't experienced anything like that

Also curios why you feel the need to upgrade? It would be easier to get a seperate compressor as that is the only difference. I don't usethe compressor on the amp because I don't think its that great. I love the reat of the amps features and adore the sound though

    The amp or the cab?

  8. The previous owner of my MESA PH1200 cab just put two strips of heavy duty velcro on the top of the cab and the other half on his rack case, but I've never had the issue of my rack sliding on my cabs. Are there rubber feet on the bottom of your amp?
