I'm looking into a new amp and am thinking of trying out the eb210-150 and the ct210-300. Anyone here experienced with either one ?

  2. I've got the Mag 200 1x12 combo and love it to death. I think it's the same pre/power as the EB. The early EB didn't push and external speaker but the Mag did... and I hear the newer EB do too.

mine holds up to a 100 watt 2x12 guitar, 200 watt 1x15 pedal steel, 300 watt MIDI and the rest of the band fine. My last gig it just barely worked... but in the drummers one car garage he felt the guitar amp and bass drum both needed a mic

I'm looking to step up to an ABM500 head and a pair of Bergantinos or Bag Ends or both in the future... but I'll hang on to this till it dies anyway.

[edit] watch for a thread from me on Ashdown Customer service... my lamp burned out and I lost a knob in the last months. I emailed throu the website and 5 days later (one being the 4th of July) I recieved a new bulb, meter and knob FOR FREE! I was waiting for word back as to the price and where to send it... the guy mailed it right from England  [/edit]

That ABM500 would sound great with any of the following:
    two HT210 or
    one HT210 + one HT115 or
one HT310 (if you can find one--heard this combination in a store--killer!) or
    one HT322.

  4. I loved my S12 + S15 Bag Ends pushed with a BH-260 from AMP... I'm thinking HT112 + HT115 or the Bags like I had. I'm not fond of horns and such... and I dig 12" speakers, maybe I'll pair a set of EX112 Bergs.

My little combo is cranking for now

The Berg HF Driver is extraordinarily smooth!

I have an HT322 and I can't get over how great it sounds.

    OK. Enough sidetracking!

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread topic...Oh, darn! I forgot what it's about!

    Oh, yes:

  6. Exactly the same thing happened to me (but I'm in the UK). How about this thread? http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=90393&highlight=ashdown

Just be sure you listen to them with the bass guitar and amp you'll be using.

In my opinion, the ABM with either all 12s or 12 + 15 might be a little too dark sounding, but YMMV.

  8. a little dark is a good thing  I've not played a 10" I wanted to call my own either.

I do want to A/B the berg, BagEnd and possibly some Epifini

Don Z -- sorry for the derailment of your thread ;)
    I'll be quiet now :D

I have the MAG 210c-400 combo and it's wonderful. Powerful and built like a tank. The new improved EB series sounds like a winner as well.
