    Hey All,
I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the Ashdown Electric Blue 15-180 Bass Combo Amp. I've no experience with Ashdown and haven't really heard much about them. I read some reviews, they didn't have anything bad to say. I'm thinking about buying it for $300. Thanks for your input :bassist:

Good price on a good amp. Remember its not putting out the full 180 until you add an 8ohm extension cab :)

How many watts does it put out without the extention cab?

I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
Probably about 100 watts. That 180 rating is for 4ohms and the speaker to which it is attached is an 8ohm speaker.

Edit: Oops! It's actually 130 watts

This is good info. My question is: How do you know it's 8 ohms? I'm looking on the product specs. It does say"Speaker Outputs: Minimum impedance 4 Ohms"
Not a challenge, just a question. I'm also considering buying one and am curious why they would set it up this way?
