Owning both of the above, I currently use the 410 as a second speaker but it isn't really tested to capacity. I am keen to buy a new separate amp but still use the 12 in speaker in the combo and the 410. What do I need to know about the impedance of a new amp head?
  2. If im thinking correctly, the 12" speaker in the combo will be 8ohms, so you need a 4 ohm head, which pretty much all are. It seems to me though that the 12" speaker would not really make that much difference in terms of volume, but its not my rig.

Thanks man. You are right, it doesn't supply any extra volume, but the 4 10inchers add a nice clean mid/treble to cut through the boom of the 12in.
