Ok. I have a chance to pick up a used SWR Goliath SR 6x10 cab for a great price. My current head is a Ashdown Mag 300 that puts out just over 300w. I plan on upgrading the head when I have the funds but will this head be able to handle the Goliath for a while or is it way too under powered? Thanks for your help.
  2. I'd definately pick up the Goliath, be anyone should always be wary of clipping and know your head limits.

    Should be a rockin rig!

  3. Think you'll be just fine!

It'll work great - just don't crank the life out of it in a Spinal Tap fashion.

300 watts into a cab like the Goliath Senior should be enough for most gigs as the senior is quite efficient. You won't need 1500 watts to be heard, put it that way!
