I was looking at the specs of the MAG 410 cab, It weighs 60.6 lbs. Wow! Thats as light as most 2x10´s. How about the sound of the MAG range cabs??? Much difference from the ABM line?

Anyone tried a MAG combo or anything thats related to the MAG-range speakers are welcomed to comment!

The MAG cabs are made from slightly thinner ply and are shallower, meaning that the sound has less of the ultra low output that the ABM cabs have, but have more 'poke' (I know of a few pro players around who are using MAG cabs with an ABM head cos they prefer the more midrangey sound.) the weight to output ratio is pretty impressive, and if you like the different tonal contour, they're a great deal. I'm using an ABM C100-300 combo, and love that, prefer it to the MAG combos, but I did play through a MAG 2x10 combo for the whole of NAMM 2001, and was amazed at the sound. The MAG cabs with an ABM head is a pretty formidable combination...
