    Hello,
i play an ibanez sr 5-string (A-D-G-C-F tuning) through a custom 2x12 cab and play metal (soulfly, bury your dead...)

did anyone played the ashdown mag300h or the gallien krüger backline 600? any likes/dislikes? which one is better for metal?

For metal? I dont know how well the mag300h will do, its quite a clean tone, then again gallien krueger is too.

    Have you tried them?

  3. Hey Man,
    I love Gallien Krueger amps.
Try www.rmcaudio.comtheir prices on GK gear is awesome. You could get an Artist series head 400RBIV or 700RBII instead of the Backline series. Just my two cents.

I am happy with my BL600 head. Check out my review...

The EQ is pretty versatile, and it basically has two separate distortion effects.
