Rarely seen! These are a pair of stackable 110s, 16 ohms each but modified for parallel hookup at 8 ohms, total 120 watt power handling. Great shape, rarely gigged with my LB-30 tube head. One little ding in the Tolex on side of the upper cab, near bottom. Strongly prefer local sale in the greater L.A. area. For sale only, [$250] Call me crazy!! $150 plus actual shipping for the pair.
I suppose they could be either, but they were designed for bass. (You can see "Bass Mini Stack" on the rear labels.) These originally came bundled with a small Ashdown bass amp as the "Perfect 10 MiniRig." I bought the cabs from another TB member whose matching head went kaput. I've used them occasionally with my Ashdown Little Bastard.
Hmmm...an LB-30 listing right next to this one!?! Coincidence? I think not! Goes together like peanut butter and jelly.
These babies are just the ticket for a small coffeehouse gig or a practice space. Not too heavy, and just right for the low-wattage Ashdown tube amps.
Thanks for your inquiry. The original solid state head that was bundled with these is long out of production. More recent Ashdown 15-30 watt tube heads include the CTM-15, CTM-30 and LB-30. My LB-30 sounded really good with these cabs.
No, keeping the LB-30 for now. They are getting rarer. OTOH, I have seen a few Ashdown low-wattage tube amps in the TB Classifieds lately.
You might have better luck selling the head making it an entire set. Notwithstanding the rareness of the head. Depends on what you need after you sell your gear.
I have confidence in the power of GAS. Somewhere out there in TB land there is an Ashdown fan just itching to get their hands on these.
