Ashdown power and ohm question?

  1. I'm getting an ABM 210 and a Mag 300 head and am curious as too how much power i can safely get from it? I am led to believe it will half as i only have the on cab but am just curious none the less as to what you guys think. Ta

    I think that amp delivers 300 watts to 4 ohms. If the cab is 8 ohm, you will lose about 1/2 the effective power. HOWEVER, it won't bother the amp at all. What ruins amps is running them into loads that are BELOW their ohm rating.

    You can run 2 8 ohm cabs in parallel with that amp, but NEVER try to parallel 4 ohm cabs with it.
