Can anyone tell me about this preamp? Good? Bad? Versatile?

I've heard them played at a few gigs, and they always seem to sound good. Rather versatile, imo.
I've heard good theings about their reliability, too.

If only someone sold them in Georgia...
  3. I don't know, but I'd love to get my mitts on one to try out myself.

What type of music was being played at the gigs where you had the pleasure of hearing the RPM-1 played? Based on what you heard at those gigs, do you feel that it's a preamp that's best suited for certain types of music or one that could lots of styles very well?

That versatility is going to be very important to me. I'm primarily in one area now, Blues, but I would like to branch out as I get better. I have been told that you can get a killer Blues tone with it. It would be cool if it's just as strong when performing other types of music.

I don't have any dealers in my area yet either. :( That's why I'm trying to get some opinions from those of you who have been exposed to it. If you don't have any experience with the preamp, tell me about the Ashdown vibe in general. Help me out now! ;)
