Can anyone tell me more about Aslin Dane basses. Anyone out there own one? I'm really impressed with the look of their Fatback 4 "MJ" and I've always thought that a Music Man with an additional "J" pickup would sound really cool. Seems to be the concept here.

These basses are made of Ash which surprises me since they are very reasonably priced. The pickups are passive which is fine by me b/c I already have two Stingrays with actives. I'm curious how their electronics might sound and how good the quality of the hardware is.

    Any opinions?

I'm also interested in this bass. It almost looks like a G&L but with that MM and J pickup combo. Any info would be great. They are really cheap on EBAY. One can be owned for than $300.
