    Hi,

    Does anybody know of any good books or websites on how to assess vintage basses and/or amps, confirm authenticity, assign $$$ value, etc.?

    How about any vintage bass dealer URLs?

    Thanks all!

    There are a couple of good books available to help establish what the value of a vintage guitar, bass or amp.
    The Blue Book value of guitars is one. This can be bought at most book stores or through Amazon.com.

    Vintage Guitar Mag 2002 Price Guide is also available through the same sources or you can order it direct from VG.
    Here's a link to it on their website;

    Then there is Gruhn Guide to Vintage Guitars. It's written by George Gruhn who is one of the most respected vintage dealers in the world. His store is located in Nashville. If you're ever in Nashville, check out Gruhn Guitars. You won't be sorry.
    Here is the link to his site and book.

    Between these three books, you will find what you're looking for.
    Cheers,
