Finally, my new bass is here! and im very happy about it - I think you can understand why...

I've been getting the money together in the last 9 months, tried ordering some other basses (including the Rockbass Corvette SE 5 LH, which the distributor didnt want to getbecause of LH), then got enough money to order a Corvette Standard 6 over two months ago - and been waiting since: there was the strike at the Austrian border and then the customs, which delayed it for two weeks, but finally my bass made it here :D

It is very nice - well, ok, gorgeus (except for the headstock, but the body is beautiful) and it even feels very nice.
The neck is not as bad as some others said, it was comfy - but a bit big, i'll have to get used to that - so it feels good, even tough I did a bit of a jump from an Ibanez SR300DX with 4-string, thin neck, directly to the 6-string ... but i like it.
One thing though - no, two. I expected it to be a bit lighter - oh well, some workout would do me good: i'm 192 cm/64 kg (about 6 feet 4 and 135-140 lbs). the other is the sometimes too brittly sound and the open strings and the hardness of the strings, but that will change with time, as the strings wear.

so im happy. :D with the 6-string it looks liike I have found my thing. i even forgot to have lunch while i was playing, i was reminded to do so, however, when i heard a distinct growl - but not from the bass... ;)

You seem to be forgetting the obligatory picture rule!

If you brag about your new bass, pics must come with! :)

Otherwise, congrats on your new bass! :)

hey, is it very neck/headstock heavy? my corvette proline 6 is a neck diver. i have been waiting for my hipshot ultralites to get to my house to help with the problem.

how bad does your neck dive?

maybe mine is bad because i have a maple/ebony neck with an ebony fretboard.

what is your neck made from?

    btw, i'm lefty too!!! :D

    Ovangkol neck, wenge board
(did you ever think of putting a small counterbalance in the electronics cavity? - thanks AllodoX, i took that from one of an earlier thread of yours...)

    keep bassing! :bassist: :D
