Atelier Z coming

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Jsonnenblick, Oct 4, 2002.

  1. I will be getting an Atelier Z five-string in trade this week; it has a custom 2-band preamp made by NY Guitar and Bass Boutique.

I've searched for "Atelier" and haven't come up with much.

    Any thoughts?

I'll post a review next week.

I've played a few of them at NY G&B boutique & they're really nice. I want to go down there & play a few more. Post pics when you get it.

I played a few at Jimmy's shop, too.

Nice basses! Post a pic and your review when you get it.

  6. OK, has anyone heard the NY Guitar & Bass Boutique's preamp? It's called an A-C, for the initials of the store's owners, I think. . .

I have. It's treble/bass boost only. I A/B'd it with a Sadowsky preamp he had in the shop. The AC preamp had more boost, although I thought the extremes were unusable. I also thought the AC colored the sound more than the Sadowsky.

Both are nice - it really comes down to personal preference.
