ATK for my uses, but I'd love a BTB.

It depends on what you are looking for.

If you want a lightweight bass with a wide neck and lots of tonal versatility, the BTB is pretty decent for the price.

If you want a heavy bass with a few killer tones including a very good imitation of the classic Stingray 4 tone, the ATK is the one.

If you want to know which one is a better bass, IMHO it is the ATK.

Excellently stated. I believe 100% that the ATK is one of the best things Ibanez ever did. My only caution is that the spacing on the ATK may be a little narrow...I don't know about the BTB.

The BTB has 19mm bridge spacing. Nice and wide.
